four founders: <span class=\"gras\">3 merchant navy officers and a finance specialist.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gras\">Nils Joyeux and Victor Depoers<\/span> were completing their studies at the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure Maritime (French Maritime Academy), <span class=\"gras\">Amaury Bolvin<\/span> was responsible for the commercial development of brands of an agri-food group in Asia, <span class=\"gras\">Bernard Peignon<\/span>, the senior of the four, was due to retire after a long career as a sailor and fleet director.\n        <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, Nils and Victor completed their final thesis on the economic and technical feasibility of using wind power as propulsion for merchant vessels.<br \/>\n         Their work produced two conclusions: <span class=\"gras\">wind propulsion is viable but most of all,  it is the simplest and most radical way to decarbonise the propulsion systems of large commercial vessels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span
